10/3/05-
holy **($U(*$ it's like the first band contact in forever.
6/19/05- dearest Capri,
in response to the message you left on the guestbook. First of all, thank you for signing. Secondly, i'm really to dumb to actually know or explain what an ep actually is. But it's going to be a cd of 4 songs that we have made. There may also be some extras added. Now normally, a band cells an ep such as the one that far from proud sold for like, what was it 6 dollars? maybe it was three? Anyways, ours will be sold for really cheap, and if you ask me for one, i will gladly buy one for you, i'm really excited for people to hear our music. It is a lot better recorded then we did at battle of the bands, for a number of reasons. One being that, since the show i've bought a new amp and it actually (gasp) produces effects. (at battle of the bands, the generator didnt' take digital effects, which led me to screw up our first two songs majorly). Anyways, for echelon, I've been playing this song for about a year now, and i still have no idea what exactly the tittle means, we played a show earlier and we asked the crowd what it meant, i dont think anyone knew. But what you need to know is that is a song, and it is one of my favorite that our band plays. Go to the lyrics section if you'd like to read up on the lyrics for the song.
As for recording updates. Iggie and I are 100 % done from what i know. Aaron is very very close, and so is nick. Luke is slow, but we can forgive him. I can't wait till our music comes out.
Yours truly,
Dave.
6/8/05- Well, now that Battle of the Bands is behind us, we've turned our attention to recording once again, more determined than ever. However, we've decided to shorten our goals just slightly, we're aiming for a EP release by the end of the summer at LATEST. I know we've said this before in the past...but this time we mean it. We have 90% of Lose it All rerecorded, and we think you're going to like the new version MUCH better than the old. Keep on keepin' on, and be sure to check back and keep an eye out for the EP later this summer.
5/09/05- Well, the recording process is going well but slowly...anyways...
Side-Effect of Reality will be playing at the Mechanicsburg Area High-School Battle of the Bands! The compitition is scheduled for Saturday May 21st (Sunday the 22nd as a rain date). The event starts at 1:00 pm and goes to 5:00. Though SEOR's preformance time is unknown at this point, you should definaly go to the entire thing because its sure to be a lot of fun...and there will be plenty of bands there better than SEOR. So be sure to have yourself a dandy time!
This is what happens when five kids try to record a music album...
9/26/04: DEATH TO AARONS COMPUTER!
Due to a computer crash of sorts...the band's recording process has grounded to a halt. However, they are 99.9% completed with they're second song: Generic Girl Song...and have parts of other songs recorded as well...keep checking back for more updates.
isn't poypul an awesome color?
6/04/04: Hey, Aaron here...we've been slacking a lot on our recording...but we're almost half way done recording Generic Girl Song. I'm really liking how its comming so far...and we should be done soon, and we're currently working out parts for another song that isn't up on the site yet called Echelon. Anyways, we'll keep workin on it...as long as you guys keep checkin back!
3/3/04: The first SEOR single has been released! Lose It All is available...for...almost no one. Ah, well, the fact of the matter is that we are recording and are hopefully going to be cranking out songs like its no one's buisness! cause...it isn't! Anyway, we'll be updating a lot...so...keep checkin back. peace.
~Aaron
